To a stirred solution of 6-amino-4-[(3-bromophenyl)amino]-8-dimethylaminomethyl-3-quinolinecarbonitrile (0.20 g, 0.50 mmol) and N,N-diisopropylethylamine (0.13 ml, 0.75 mmol) in 3.4 ml of THF at 0° C. was added acryloyl chloride (0.045 ml, 0.55 mmol) during 5 m. After stirring for 3 h at 0° C. the mixture was diluted with sodium bicarbonate solution. The resulting solid was filtered off, washed with water, dried, and subjected to chromatography on silica gel with methylene chloride-ethyl acetate-methanol-triethylamine to give a yellow solid; mass spectrum (electrospray, m/e) M+H 449.9, 452.0.
