Procedure
To a solution of tert-butyl (3-(4-formyl-3,3-dimethyl-2-oxopyrrolidin-1-yl)-1-methyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)carbamate (173 mg) obtained in Step D of Example 4, 2M dimethylamine THF solution (0.39 mL) and acetic acid (30 μL) in THF (5.0 mL) was added sodium triacetoxyborohydride (220 mg). The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 16 hr, saturated aqueous sodium hydrogen carbonate solution was added thereto, and the mixture was extracted with ethyl acetate. The extract was washed with saturated brine, and dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate, and the solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure. The residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography (NH, ethyl acetate/hexane), and then HPLC (C18, mobile phase: water/acetonitrile (containing 0.1% TFA)), and the obtained fraction was concentrated under reduced pressure to give the title compound (112 mg).
