Methyl 4-cyclopropyl-2-(5-(5-(isopropylamino)-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl)-1-tosyl-1H-indol-3-yl)pyrimidine-5-carboxylate (110 mg, 0.192 mmol) was treated with THF (2 mL), water (1.0 mL) and lithium hydroxide monohydrate (20 mg, 0.48 mmol) and stirred at RT for 1.5 h. The reaction mixture was treated with a 5 N HCl (0.5 mL) and concentrated on the rotovap. It was then dried further by azeotroping with toluene and drying under high vacuum at 50° C. for 3 h. MS (ESI, pos. ion) m/z: 559.0 (M+H)+. It was then used in the subsequent step with further purification.
