Following General Procedure A, the title compound (1.8 g, 60%) was prepared from 2-amino-4-fluorobenzenethiol (1.4 g, 9.79 mmol) and methyl 2-(bromomethyl)benzoate (2.2 g, 9.79 mmol), K2CO3 (4.0 g, 29.4 mmol) in DMF (50 ml).
