A mixture of ethyl 8-chloro-3-[3-methoxy-4-(2-methyl-1,3-oxazol-5-yl)phenyl]-5,6,7,8-tetrahydro[1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-a]pyridine-8-carboxylate (200 mg), 4-chloro-3-fluorophenol (73.8 mg), potassium carbonate (199 mg) and DMF (2 mL) was stirred at 100° C. for 30 min, and allowed to cool to room temperature. Ethyl acetate and water were added to the reaction mixture, and the mixture was extracted with ethyl acetate. The extract was washed with water and saturated brine, and dried over anhydrous magnesium sulfate, and the solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure. The residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography (ethyl acetate/hexane) to give the title compound (127 mg).
