In a flame dried round-bottomed flask equipped with a magnetic stir bar and under inert atmosphere (N2), a suspension of 4-bromo-1-butanol (187 mg, 1.20 mmol), (S)-3-fluoropyrrolidine (186 mg, 1.44 mmol) and K2CO3 (392 mg, 1.56 mmol) in CH3CN (8 mL) was heated to 100° C. under microwave irradiations for 25 min. The mixture was then filtered and the solvent removed under reduced pressure to give the title compound as a colorless oil.
