Methanesulfonyl chloride (0.027 g, 0.241 mmol) was added to a solution of {[4-(2′-hydroxymethyl-6′-methyl-biphenyl-3-sulfonyl)-5-methylsulfanyl-thiophen-2-yl]-imino-methyl}-carbamic acid tert-butyl ester (0.100 g, 0.188 mmol) [example 213, step b] and triethylamine (0.048 g, 0.470 mmol) in THF [3 mL] at room temperature and stirred for 18 hours. Column chromatography (25% EtOAc in hexanes) of the residue yielded the title compound (0.017 g, 14%). ESI-MS (m/z): Calcd. for C26H30N2O7S4: 610.09; found: 611.8.
