1.29 ml of N,N-dimethylformamide-dimethyl acetal were added dropwise at ambient temperature under an inert gas atmosphere to a solution of 1.5 g of the product of Step A in 8 ml of dimethyl-formamide. The solution was stirred at ambient temperature for 3 hours, then poured into a 1% aqueous solution of sodium hydrogen sulfate, extracted with ethyl acetate, washed with water, then with a saturated aqueous solution of sodium chloride, dried and evaporated to dryness under reduced pressure to obtain 1.809 g of the expected product.
