7-methoxy-3,3-dimethyl-2,3-dihydro-isoindol-1-one (3.16 g) is dissolved in THF (50 mL) and NaH (7.88 g) is added batchwise. After 5 min methyl iodide (7.18 mL) is added. After 18 h at 0° C. the reaction mixture is combined with H2O/AcCN as well as Isolute and purified by RP HPLC.
