62 mg of potassium carbonate and 32 mg of 2,5-difluorophenol were added to a solution of 100 mg of tert-butyl [4-(5-methanesulfonyl-7-propoxyoxazolo[5,4-d]pyrimidin-2-yl)-2,6-dimethylphenoxy]acetate in 1.5 ml of N,N-dimethylformamide. The mixture was stirred at room temperature for 12 h. The mixture was then poured into water, neutralized by addition of 10% strength aqueous sodium bisulfate solution and extracted twice with ethyl acetate. The combined organic layers were dried and concentrated under reduced pressure. After filtration, the solvent was distilled off under reduced pressure and the residue was purified by preparative HPLC, giving 69 mg of the title compound.
