To a solution of (R)-2,3-diamino-N-[1-phenyl-5-(3-propylphenyl)-1H-pyrazol-3-yl]-propionamide dihydrochloride (181 mg) in N,N-dimethylformamide (3 ml) were added 1,1′-carbonyldiimidazole (67 mg), and triethylamine (116 μl) at room temperature, and the mixture was stirred for 16 hours. To this reaction solution was added water, and the mixture was extracted with ethyl acetate. The resulting organic layer was washed with water and a saturated aqueous solution of sodium chloride, dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate, and then concentrated under reduced pressure. The resulting residue was purified by silica gel thin-layer chromatography (eluent: chloroform/methanol=10/1) to give the titled compound (76 mg).
