A solution of 3-Chloro-6-(2-cyclohex-1-enyl-ethyl)-6-cyclopentyl-4-hydroxy-5,6-dihydro-pyran-2-one (150 mg, 0.46 mmol, from Step 1 below), 5-Pyridin-4-yl-4H-[1,2,4]triazole-3-thiol (82 mg, 0.46 mmol), and triethylamine (64 □L, 0.46 mmol) dissolved in DMF (5 mL) was heated to 55° C. under N2 for 8 h. The resulting mixture was concentrated and purified by Prep HPLC to give the title compound (58 mg, 27%) as a pale yellow solid.
