Procedure
A mixture of 4-bromo-2-fluoro-1-nitrobenzene (1.20 g, 5.45 mmol), (5-fluoropyridin-3-yl)methanamine (757 mg, 6.0 mmol) and potassium carbonate (3.015 g, 21.82 mmol) in N,N-dimethylformamide (8 mL) was heated at 80° C. for 1 hour. After cooling, the mixture was diluted with ethyl acetate and the mixture was washed with water and brine, dried over magnesium sulfate, filtered and concentrated to give the crude title compound which was used without further purification. MS (ESI) m/z 327 (M+H)+.
