2-([1,2,4]Triazolo[4,3-a]pyridin-3-yl)quinolin-8-ol (101 mg, 0.385 mmol), tert-butyl (2S)-2-ethyl-3-hydroxypentylcarbamate (89 mg, 0.385 mmol), PPh3 (151 mg, 0.577 mmol) and DEAD (90.9 μL, 0.577 mmol) were combined at ambient temperature in 5 mL anhydrous THF. The reaction mixture was heated at reflux for 6 hours. The crude mixture was cooled to ambient temperature and diluted with water and ethyl acetate. The crude mixture was extracted with ethyl acetate, and the combined organic layers were dried over Na2SO4 and concentrated in vacuo to provide the desired product.
