50 g of 8-bromo-3-methyl-3,7-dihydropurine-2,6-dione are introduced into 900 ml of DMF, and 14.1 g of potassium carbonate are added. The suspension is heated to an internal temperature of 60° C., and 31.7 g of 1-bromo-3-methyl-2-butene are slowly added. The mixture is stirred at this temperature for 3 hours and then 1.2 l of water are added. The solid is filtered off with suction, thoroughly washed with water and dried in vacuo at 45° C.
