Procedure
The compound (1.20 g, 2.31 mmol) synthesized in Example 16 (16a) was dissolved in acetone (30 mL) and 2,2-dimethoxy propane (2.27 mL, 18.5 mmol) and p-toluenesulfonic acid monohydrate (660 mg, 3.47 mmol) were added thereto, followed by stirring of the mixture at room temperature for 15 minutes. After saturated aqueous sodium hydrogencarbonate (50 mL) was added to the reaction mixture at 0° C. and the mixture was extracted with ethyl acetate (50 mL), the organic layer was washed with saturated brine (50 mL). The solvent was distilled off under reduced pressure and the residue was dissolved in methanol. Sodium methoxide (0.4 mL, 1.96 mmol) was added thereto and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 20 minutes. After saturated aqueous ammonium chloride (50 mL) was added to the reaction mixture at 0° C. and the mixture was extracted with ethyl acetate (50 mL), the organic layer was washed with saturated brine (50 mL) and dried with anhydrous sodium sulfate, followed by distilling off of the solvent under reduced pressure. The residue was purified using silica gel flash column chromatography (hexane:ethyl acetate, 1:1, V/V) to obtain the desired title compound (840 mg, yield 80%) as a colorless solid.
