A mixture of 7 (2.16 g, 9.68 mmol), 2-(dimethylamino)-ethyl chloride hydrochloride (1.53 g, 10.6 mmol) and K2CO3 (5.35 g, 3.87 mmol) in DME (28 mL)/H2O (7 mL) was heated under reflux overnight. After cooling to room temperature, the solution was diluted with EtOAc (100 mL) and the resulting solution was washed with H2O (2×100 mL) and brine (100 mL).
