Procedure
To a solution of methyl 2-(4-(4-(((1S,2S)-2-(5-methoxypyridin-2-yl)cyclopropyl)methoxy)-2-methylpyrimidin-5-yl)-2-oxopyridin-1(2H)-yl)acetate (Example 56, 30 mg, 0.069 mmol) in tetrahydrofuran (1 ml), methanol (1 ml) and H2O (1 ml) was added LiOH (8.3 mg, 0.3 mmol). The reaction mixture was stirred at ambient temperature for 16 hours. To the reaction mixture was added 5 ml of brine and the pH was adjusted to 3 with 1N HCl to provide a white precipitate which was filtered and dried to provide the title compound as a white solid. LC/MS: m/z=423.1 [M+H]+; 1H NMR (400 MHz, MeOD) δ 8.50 (s, 1 H), 8.05 (s, 1 H), 7.62 (d, 1 H), 7.56 (dd, 1 H), 7.32 (dd, 1 H), 6.83 (d, 1 H), 6.68 (dd, 1 H), 4.74 (d, 2 H), 4.59-4.63 (m, 1 H), 4.44-4.49 (m, 1H), 3.84 (s, 3 H), 2.63 (s, 3 H), 2.15-2.19 (m, 1 H), 1.81-1.83 (m, 1 H), 1.24-1.29 (m, 1 H), 1.09-1.14 (m, 1 H).
