Wang resin (Advanced Chemtech, 2.5 g, 0.8 mmol/g, 2 mmol equivalent) in a mixture of DMF (20 ml) and DCM (20 ml) was treated with 3-(9-fluorenylmethoxycarbonylamino)-3-(4-nitrophenyl)propanoic acid (2.6 g, 6 mmol), 4-dimethylaminopyridine (244 mg, 2 mmol) and 1,3-diisopropylcarbodiimide (940 μl, 6 mmol) and the mixture agitated under nitrogen at room temperature for 24 h. The resin was filtered and washed with DMF and DCM. The resin was treated with a 1M solution of stannous chloride dihydrate in DMF (50 ml) at room temperature for 8 h then washed as before to give the title compound.
