Procedure

HOBT (1.91 g), IPEA (4.31 mL) and EDC (2.71 g) were sequentially added to a solution of (2-chloroethoxy)-(3,4,5-trifluorophenyl)acetic acid (1.9 g) and tert-butyl carbazate (1.03 g) in DMF (30 mL), and the reaction solution was stirred at room temperature for five hours. Ethyl acetate and water were added to the reaction solution, and the organic layer was separated. The resulting organic layer was washed with brine, dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate and then concentrated under reduced pressure. The residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography (elution solvent: heptane-ethyl acetate system) to obtain 1.75 g of the title compound. The property values of the compound are as follows.
