A mixture of 4-(6-bromo-2-methyl-1H-benzo[d]imidazol-1-yl)-1,3,5-triazin-2-amine (200 mg, 0.66 mmol) and 2-ethynylbicyclo[2.2.1]heptan-2-ol (85 mg, 1.3 mmol) in DMF (2.5 mL) was treated with palladium(II) acetate (16 mg, 0.07 mmol), DPPP (58 mg, 0.14 mmol), copper(I) iodide (5 mg, 0.04 mmol) and potassium carbonate (180 mg, 1.3 mmol), then the mixture was heated at 120° C. for 40 min under microwave irradiation. After cooling to RT, the reaction mixture was filtered and the filtrate concentrated in vacuo. Purification of the residue by silica gel column chromatography furnished the title compound (18.5 mg, yield 8%): 1H NMR: (400 MHz, MeOD) delta 1.30-1.47 (m, 4H), 1.56-1.67 (m, 1H), 1.92-2.48 (m, 5H), 2.97 (s, 3H), 7.36 (dd, J=1.6, 8.4 Hz, 1H), 7.53 (d, J=8.4 Hz, 1H), 8.50 (s, 1H), 8.60 (s, 1H); LC-MS: m/z=+361.0 (M+H)+.
