A 25° C. mixture of 500 mg of 2-(5-fluoro-2-nitrophenyl)-N-(3-(trifluoromethyl)benzyl)isonicotinamide 14d, 131 mg of diethylamine, and 329 mg of K2CO3 in 4 mL of DMF was stirred for 16 h and then stirred for an additional 24 h at 60° C. The mixture was diluted with ethyl acetate, and the resulting solution was washed with water, and then with brine. The solution was dried (Na2SO4) and the solvent was removed at reduced pressure. The residue was purified by chromatography on silica gel to give 500 mg of a yellow solid.
