500 mg of 4-Iodo-3-(2-m-tolyl-ethoxy)-benzoic acid methyl ester, 200 mg of methyl vinyl sulfone, 115 mg of tri-o-tolylphosphine, and 43 mg of palladium(II) acetate were stirred in 4 ml of acetonitrile and 1.5 ml of diisopropylethylamin for 2 h at 82° C. The reaction mixture was allowed to cool to room temperature. 10 ml of EA were then added and the mixture was washed successively twice using 5 ml of water each and twice using 5 ml of a saturated aqueous Na2CO3-solution. The organic layer was then dried using MgSO4 and evaporated. Chromatography on silica gel using EA/HEP 1:2 yielded 270 mg of the title compound. Rf (EA/HEP 1:2)=0.17
