A mixture of 4-((4,4,4-trifluoro-1-(2-methyl-4-(4,5,6,7-tetrahydro-2H-indazol-2-yl)phenyl)butyl)amino)benzoic acid, ethyl (3R)-piperidine-3-carboxylate (5.24 mL), 1-(3-dimethylaminopropyl)-3-ethylcarbodiimide hydrochloride (6.51 g), 1-hydroxybenzotriazole (4.59 g), N,N-diisopropylethylamine (8.90 mL), 4-dimethylaminopyridine (0.208 g) and DMF (42.5 ml) was stirred at room temperature overnight. To the reaction mixture was added water, and the mixture was extracted with ethyl acetate. The extract was washed with water and saturated brine, and dried over anhydrous magnesium sulfate. The solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure and the residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography (ethyl acetate/hexane) to give the title compound (9.61 g).
