This compound was prepared according to the procedure C from methyl[2-methyl-4-phenyl-6,7-dihydro-5H-cyclopenta[4,5]thieno[2,3-b]pyridin-3-yl]acetate (0.115 g; 0.341 mmol), LHMDS 1N in THF (0.375 mL; 0.375 mmol), 1-iodopropane (0.050 mL; 0.513 mmol) in DMF (5 mL) for 3 h. Purification by flash chromatography on silica gel using a gradient of ethyl acetate (5-15%) in heptane furnished 0.111 g (86%) of the title compound as a yellow solid.
