To a stirred solution of 9-1 (0.25 g, 0.73 mMol) and 21-1 (0.13 g, 0.87 mMol) in NMP (5 mL) was added triethylamine (0.3 mL, 2.2 mMol) followed by acetic acid (0.082 mL, 1.5 mMol). After stirring at ambient temperature overnight, sodium triacetoxyborohydride (0.18 g, 0.87 mMol) was added. Upon completion, the reaction was diluted with ethyl acetate and washed with saturated NaHCO3, followed by water, then brine. The organic layer was dried with Na2SO4 and MgSO4, filtered and concentrated in vacuo to yield 21-2. LC/MS (M+1) calculated: 482.0; observed: 482.2
