To a suspension of 2-(3-bromo-phenyl)-5-t-butyl-2H-pyrazol-3-ylamine (5.8 g, 20 mmol), Pd(OAc)2 (450 mg, 2 mmol), PPh3 (1.0 g, 4 mmol), and K2CO3 (5.5 g, 40 mmol) in DMF (50 mL) was added 2-methyl-acrylic acid ethyl ester (2.8 g, 25 mmol) at RT under N2. The mixture was stirred at 80° C. overnight, concentrated under reduced pressure, and purified by column chromatography to afford (E)-3-[3-(5-amino-3-t-butyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)phenyl]-2-methylacrylic acid (3.2 g). MS (ESI) m/z: 328 (M+H+)
