To a solution of 1-Isopropenyl-6-methyl-1,3-dihydro-benzimidazol-2-one (50 mg, 0.27 mmol) and (5-Chloro-1,2,3-trimethyl-1H-indol-7-yl)-methanol (60 mg, 0.27 mmol), triphenylphosphine (84 mg, 0.32 mmol) in THF (2 mL) was added dropwise DIAD (0.06 mL, 0.32 mmol). The mixture was stirred at room temperature for 1 h. The reaction mixture was diluted with ethyl acetate and washed with water (×2). The organic phase was dried over Na2SO4 and concentrated. The resulting residue was purified by silica gel prep TLC using 4:1 Hexanes:ethyl acetate as an eluent to afford 60 mg of the desired product as a brownish oil. LCMS (ESMS): m/z 394.28 (M+H+).
