Procedure

To an ambient solution of EXAMPLE 104B (75 mg) in tetrahydrofuran (1.5 mL) and water (0.5 mL) was added LiOH H2O (13 mg). The reaction was stirred overnight, diluted with 2 mL water and 2 mL ethyl acetate, and acidified to pH ˜3 with 10% aqueous HCl solution. The layers were separated, and the aqueous layer was extracted with additional ethyl acetate (2×8 mL). The combined organic layers were dried with anhydrous sodium sulfate, filtered and concentrated under reduced pressure to provide the title compound. 1H NMR (300 MHz, dimethylsulfoxide-d6) δ ppm 12.85 (s, 1H), 8.26 (m, 2H), 8.03 (d, 1H), 7.79 (d, 1H), 7.71 (d, 1H), 7.62 (d, 1H), 7.43 (m, 5H), 7.26 (d, 1H), 7.14 (m, 4H), 7.00 (d, 1H), 4.99 (s, 2H), 3.91 (t, 2H), 3.01 (t, 2H).
