Benzotriazol-1-yloxytripyrrolid inophosphonium hexafluorophosphate (0.136 g, 0.26 mmol) was added to a solution of 4-(5-benzenesulfonylamino-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazole-3-yl)-benzoic acid (0.10 g, 0.24 mmol) and N,N-diisopropylethylamine (0.062 ml, 0.36 mmol) in N,N-dimethylformamide (2 ml). 1-Hydroxybenzotriazole hydrate (30 mg, 0.24 mmol) and 4-(N,N-dimethylamino)pyridine (catalytic) were added and the resulting solution was stirred at room temperature for 3 hours. Water (7 ml) was added, and a precipitate was collected by filtration and washed with water. The solid was purified by preparative thin layer silica gel chromatography, using 2% methanol in dichloromethane as the eluant, to yield N-Phenyl-4-[1-phenyl-5-[(phenylsulfonyl)amino]-1H-pyrazol-3-yl]benzamide as a colorless solid.
