(rac)-6-[1-(6-Chloro-imidazo[1,2-b]pyridazin-3-yl)-ethyl]-5,7-difluoro-quinoline (Intermediate C, 200 mg, 0.569 mmol), KF (371 mg, 6.26 mmol) and piperazine (490 mg, 5.69 mmol) were suspended in NMP (2.85 mL). The RM was stirred at 170° C. for 1 h. The mixture was diluted with EtOAc and washed with 1M Na2CO3 (1×) and water (2×). The aqueous was further extracted with EtOAc (2×). The combined organic layers were dried over Na2SO4, filtered and concentrated. The residue was purified by flash chromatography and afford the title compound as a yellow foam (tR 2.78 min (conditions 1), MH+=395).
