To tert-butyl(1-(2-(2,2-dimethyl-1,3-dioxolan-4-yl)quinolin-8-yl)piperidin-4-yl)methylcarbamate (81 mg, 0.18 mmol) in THF (3 mL) was added HCl (20 mg, 0.55 mmol) (6M). The reaction was stirred for 3 hours at ambient temperature and then diluted with EtOAc (10 mL) and saturated NaHCO3 (5 mL). The phases were separated, and the organic layer was dried and concentrated to give crude product.
