Following general procedure D and using 6-bromo-8-cyclopropyl-2,2,4,4-tetramethyl chroman (Intermediate 32, 0.376 g, 1.22 mmol), (trimethylsilyl)acetylene (4 mL, 28 mmol), triethyl amine (3 mL), anhydrous tetrahydrofuran (5 mL), copper(I)iodide (0.025 g, 0.1 3 mmol) and dichlorobis(triphenylphosphine)palladium(II) (0.075 g, 0.11 mmol), the title compound was obtained as an oil (0.173 g, 43%).
