A solution of 4-Iodo-3-(2-methyl-allyloxy)-benzoic acid methyl ester (455 mg, 1.37 mmol) in DMF (15 mL) were added Potassium carbonate (379 mg, 2.74 mmol), Tetrabutylammonium chloride (380 mg, 1.37 mmol), Palladium acetate (25.6 mg, 0.136 mmol) in DMF (5 mL) and 4-Chlorophenylboronic acid, (256 mg, 1.64 mmol) was submitted to microwave irradiation at 140° C. for 21 minutes. The resulting mixture was filtered over silica, washed with water, dried over MgSO4 and concentrated. Column chromatography (silica gel, heptane/CH2Cl2: 5/5) afforded 160 mg (37%) of the title compound as a slightly brown oil.
