Oxalylchloride (2 mL, 3.9 mmol) was added during 5 minutes to 3-[5-(3-chlorophenyl)-2H-tetrazol-2-yl]butanoic acid in DCM (40 mL) and DMF (5 drops) under argon. The mixture was stirred at r.t. for 3 h and then was MeNH2 (2M in THF, 3.6 mL, 7.2 mmol) added and the resulting mixture was stirred o.n. Saturated NaHCO3 (75 mL) was added and the mixture was extracted with CHCl3 (3×100 mL). The combined organic phases were dried (MgSO4) and concentrated. The crude was purified by flash column chromatography (SiO2, Heptane-EtOAc 1:2) to give 0.74 g (74%) of the title compound.
