500 mg 4-(3-bromo-6-phenylimidazo[1,2-a]pyrimidin-7-yl)benzaldehyde, 180 mg K2CO3, 215 mg Et4NCl, 25 mg PdCl2(PPh3)2 and 620 mg tributyl(vinyl)stannane were suspended in 10 mL THF. The mixture was heated to 110° C. for 45 min. This mixture was worked up by diluting with water and extraction with dichloromethane. The organic layers were dried over Na2SO4 and concentrated to yield the crude product, which was purified by chromatography on silica gel (ethyl acetate/dichloromethane).
