Procedure

5.1 g (16.8 mmol) of ethyl (6-bromo-2-nitrobenzyl)aminoacetate was dissolved in 100 ml of dichloromethane. 2.4 ml (19.3 mmol) of 4-chlorobenzoyl chloride and 3.6 ml (25.2 mmol) of triethylamine were added to the obtained solution under cooling with ice, and they were stirred under cooling with ice for 2 hours. After the treatment with dichloromethane as the extracting solvent by an ordinary method, the crude product was obtained. The crude product was dissolved in 50 ml of DMF. 171 mg (0.75 mmol) of palladium acetate, 2.1 ml (22 mmol) of methyl acrylate, 292 mg (1.5 mmol) of triphenylphosphine and 3.0 ml (9.24 mmol) of triethylamine were added to the obtained solution and they were stirred at 100° C. overnight. After the treatment with ethyl acetate as the extracting solvent by an ordinary method, the crude product was obtained. The crude product was then purified by the silica gel column chromatography to obtain the title compound.
